I am not a big buyer of beauty products. However, I downloaded the app Olay skin advisor (http://www.allure.com/story/olay-skin-advisor) because I was curious to see what it would say. I was in for a rude awakening. For years I had basically mistreated my face, not using the recommended skin care routine. I would say that I didn’t have time, but basically I was lazy, for years. I am 35 years old, and I have finally figured out that my face makes me look older than I am. Time for a call to action:
I started researching products for someone my age, and the market is staggering. It is amazing how many things there are. After reading the many testimonials and product information, I settled on Olay Total Effects Anti-Aging Moisturizer. The stats for this product say that it fights 7 signs of aging, hydrates your skin, replenishes moisture barrier and could brighten skin while restoring firmness. The price tag for this is around $18-28 dollars, depending where you buy it, but personally I think it’s worth it. Where my skin was dry and missing the healthy color, after using this for over a month, I can definitely see a difference. It’s not so noticeable that I now look 10 years younger, but my skin does look healthier. The packaging calls for once a day, but I am an overachiever and tend to use it when I get up and then when I go to bed. I have not had any adverse effects to doing this so I will continue my method of application.
There is a whole line of products for treating aging, and I only bought this one as a tester, but now I’m sold. I truly think that if I make small changes rather than drastic I’m more tempted to stick to it. If you’re willing to give it a try, I don’t think you will regret it. If you already use it, please drop me a comment and give your story. Education is information, and there is never enough information.
