13 years ago, I welcomed into the world a beautiful baby girl. I was so scared that I would somehow break her or worse, she would die at my hands. Click To Tweet In the Army, I had just separated from my family, my husband had just left for deployment and I was all alone with this tiny little baby. For the first few days, I don’t know who cried more her or me. It took a great deal of time, a great deal of internet research for me to know what to do and how to do it.
I was the one up in the morning at 2 am, when she was crying inconsolably, to try and find a way to make her stop. I think I tried everything the books tell you, and nothing worked. One of the hardest things we do as parents is try to be strong when we don’t know the answers. It’s very hard to be calm when your baby is screaming in pain and you have no clue how to help.
It took me a great deal of time, and two children later to understand and know what I should be doing for them. This is why I created this eBook for those who were just like me. I wanted to help those who were up at 2 am not knowing what to do.
Sometimes we just have to find the right ingredient, and then implement it. Sometimes it’s not something we did, but rather something we gave them. I couldn’t even begin to describe how many times friends and family have called over the years trying to figure out what was wrong with their baby, just to find out that they might have had colic, or maybe they are spitting up their milk because they are lactose intolerant.There are soo many different choices on the market and in my book, I give you a rundown of the ones I know and have tried. When Abby was little, and I didn’t know what to do, I would look up and ask GOD why, what am I doing wrong? It took me years to figure out that it wasn’t always me. When I figured that out, I learned to look at options, and what was available to me. I learned to try and figure out what worked best, as well as what didn’t work.
